Booster Trip To the Bay
—————
Rotarians Will Stage a Big Parade In Neighboring City For Door County Fair
—————
Green Bay is to hear of the Door County Fair in a novel way on Thursday, September 1st.
On this date the members of the Rotary Club are to hold their weekly meeting with the Green Bay Rotarians and they conceived the idea of making it a Booster Trip for the Door County Fair at the same time.
Every one of the Rotarians will be dressed in uniforms of white trousers, black coat and white hat, with black ties arid carrying a cane.
There will be at least forty autos go to Green Bay on this occasion.
It is desired to impress upon the minds of the public that everybody is invited to join in and make this one of the biggest booster trips of its kind. Banners will be given out to be carried in the parade.
The autoes will meet at the first Standard Oil service station when the city is entered. Every auto is requested to be at this point promptly at 10:45 a.m.
There will be two bands. The Sawyer Band will lead the procession. There will also be a Ragamuffin band.
The Rotarians will march on foot after the band, the autoes falling in behind. It is planned to have a truck with several barrels of apples, which will be thrown out as the parade passes along.
After the forenoon parade the Boosters will meet at the Beaumont Hotel at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, where the autoes will form in line and parade to the Brown County Fair at DePere.
Everybody who will go is requested to report to Earl M. LaPlant.
This will be an opportunity to show your interest in the local Fair. If you are planning on going to the Brown County Fair, this will be the time to go.
We want the citizens of Green Bay and Brown county to know that we are going to have a Fair that will be worth seeing and if they do not hear of it it will be no fault of the Boosters.
