Four articles about a 2018 disease outbreak at a Continuum Healthcare facility
The first linked article has a history of Continuum’s business and a map showing its properties at the time of the article. The current list at https://www.continuumltc.com/our-portfolio includes five of the properties on the map.
It describes an outbreak where 11 children with disabilities died and quotes CNA Sherry McGhie’s testimony to the Senate Health Committee that staffing became “far worse” after Continuum Healthcare took over.

In the second article, written a month earlier, McGhie’s testimony is corroborated by the aunt of one of the 11 children. Two anonymous workers and a nursing union head stated similar things.

The third article includes a statement from an attorney representing the care facility. He said that that an unfavorable report, https://healthapps.state.nj.us/facilities/documents/VNSL11.pdf, was “riddled with factual inaccuracies, ignorance of medical judgment, statements that are contradicted by experts and other evidence, and sensational accusatory conclusions that lack any support whatsoever.”
