INVITED TO VISIT CAMP MURPHY
—————
Troop No. 1, Boy Scouts, Green Bay, Extend Invitation.
Sturgeon Bay Boy Scouts are invited to visit “Camp Murphy” at Egg Harbor, where Troop No. 1 of Green Bay Boy Scouts have pitched their tents. Any one else wishing to call will be welcomed.
Troop No. 1 arrived last Saturday and will remain for a period of two weeks. The boys are in charge of their Scout Master, Conservation Warden D. M. Cranston, and his two assistants, scoutmasters Bert J. Rice and Harry G. Colburn. Mrs. Cranston and daughter accompanied Mr. Cranston and are doing the cooking for the troops. There are sixteen boys in the camp. Several members of the party came in the “Kingfisher” and others motored up.
Troop No. 1 are having a splendid time. A regular routine is being carried out, and there is fishing, swimming and all the sports that go to make up a regular scout camp.
The camp is known as “Camp Murphy” in honor of E. N. Murphy and son Norris thru whose services the camp was arranged.
