“Question: Is your family planning anything special for Easter?” from the April 5, 1977 Door County Advocate
Question: Is your family planning anything special for Easter?
Mrs. Darlene Cooper, Ellison Bay: “My four children, Terrie, David, Dale and Amy usually have an Easter egg scavenger hunt outside with some family friends. We have little notes scattered around with the eggs outside. Hopefully this year’s hunt won’t be in the snow but we’ve done it before that way. The kids are getting bigger now but they still enjoy the hunt and it is no challenge to be inside.”
Mrs. Joan LeMense, R. 1, Brussels: “We live on a farm and the kids usually get up as early as we do so they can get their Easter treats. Then we go to early church services so we can get home in time for dinner with the grandparents.”
Howard Maass, Baileys Harbor: “I don’t know that we will be planning to do anything special on Easter but it is my birthday so I will have to wait and see what the day brings.”
Mrs. Anne Carmody, R. 4, Little Sturgeon: “Easter is usually a day for family and we will have a dinner for all the relatives.”
Mrs. Marilyn Jome, 208 S. 8th: “Our children have been preparing all week for Easter. They have decorated the house with Easter decorations and are making cards for relatives. Then on Saturday they will participate in the Easter egg hunt at Sunset park and in the evening will color the Easter eggs for the Easter bunny to hide. The big highlight is Sunday morning when they hunt for their baskets and chocolate bunnies. After all the excitement we all go to church and then have a big dinner with all the grandparents and aunts and uncles.”
