Questions 4, 5, and 15 provide an opportunity to criticize social leftism at Door County libraries
The library survey is at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DoorCountyCommunitySurveySocialMedia.
Three questions include an opportunity to write a free response:
4. I would be more interested in using the library if: (Check all that apply.)
At the bottom, it says
Other (please specify)
The text box for "Other" and the follow up box for Question 5 are two possibilities for honesty:
5. If you would like to provide additional information about your selection(s) to the question above, please describe here:
And at the end is Question 15:
15. Below is a space to write in any additional comments, suggestions, or ideas you have for the library.
If you appreciate the Door County Library Newspaper Archive, you can include a "thank you" in Question 15.
What if you don't know what to write about?
You can do what I did. I searched the internet for "banned children's books sexual"
An article came up about a children's book for ages 10 and up that has 78 pictures of naked bodies where genitalia are shown, and colorful illustrations of couples doing things children shouldn't see.
I searched it on InfoSoup:
The results came up:
Sturgeon Bay
Children Nonfiction
613.9071 Har
On Shelf
So that is one thing to consider writing about.
In 2023, the Door County Library had 67% of the county's population as registered borrowers, down from 83% in 2012: https://public.tableau.com/shared/P5FH3DSFH?:showVizHome=no
This is proof that the direction they have been heading in has not been so good, and they can do much better.
To maximize library use, they should make it more like it used to be.
