The reason for sharing this is because I’ve advocated for Wisconsin to adopt a Vacant Home Tax. As with many things, starting a Vacant Home Tax is not going to solve everything by itself. Toronto’s political leadership and possibly also city personnel should be blamed for the problems with the rollout. Any future Vacant Home Tax intended for Wisconsin ought to be implemented with Toronto’s mistakes in mind.
