WILL SEND CLOTHING TO STORM SUFFERERS
—————
Porto Rico Children In Dire Need
—————
Mrs. Edwin Bebeau has received word from her daughter, Miss Natalie Bebeau, of San Juan, Porto Rico, telling of the grief stricken areas as the result of the hurricane which recently swept the island.
The Red Cross is aiding the sufferers, yet there are hundreds of children, according to Miss Bebeau who have no clothing but the clothes they are wearing. Anyone with children’s clothing that they no longer have use for are urgently requested to send them to the children. However, nothing but summer apparel can be worn on the island.
The clothing should be done up in packages and may be left at the Woman’s Club headquarters at the Library Friday afternoon at which time the club will hold their regular meeting and the packages will be forwarded or should anyone desire to send the clothing they may do so by sending it to Miss Natalie Bebeau, 20 Calle Central, Mira Mar, San Juan, Porto Rico. Miss Bebeau will take charge of the packages upon their arrival.
It is requested that the age of the person the clothing will fit be placed on the outside of the package. It is also urged that a return addressed envelope be placed in the package so that the sender may learn to whom the articles were given.
